Crabs

Dwayne's secretary's husband has some crab pots so we bought some crabs from him over the weekend. We had a wonderful afternoon of crabs, watermelon, tomato/cucumber salad and homemade peach ice cream.

It was the first time Auntie Frances ever tried a crab. She ate several and enjoyed them.

Miche Bag Business

This is a professional photo of some of the big and classic Miche bags in a variety of shells. I have started selling these bags. It's fun and exciting. I hope it's also a good money maker.

This is three sizes of bags from my demo kit.

These are the same three bags with different shells. It's awesome to not move purse contents, but just swap the outside of the purse to a cover that matches your outfit for the day.

Camping

We camped down at Kerr over Labor Day weekend. Our friends Roberta & Greg Sharpe were on one side of us. Their daughter Jessi came with her husband and baby girl and were two sites down.

Devin enjoying his kayak on the lake. Dwayne & Jeff went out and around the island with him. I did a shorter voyage with Dwayne along the shoreline towards the dam.

We were chatting after breakfast and sipping coffee. Then Dwayne got into it with a yellow jacket and got stung on his finger. It was sitting in the handle of his cup when he picked it up to take a drink. Ouch!

JMU Move In Day

Derrik and his roommate Ryan. He is also an engineering student.

Derrik & Devin had to say goodbye in the driveway because Devin had already started school so couldn't come with us to help move Derrik into his dorm room.

Derrik sorting through his stuff and trying to decide where to put it all. His roommate, Ryan, didn't show up until we were going out for a lunch run.

When we pulled up at the dorm, we were swarmed with students who carried almost everything up to the room. That made moving in a lot less hassle.

The room with furniture rearranged and most of the items put away.

Kay's 41st Birthday

We celebrated Kay's birthday two days early for two reasons. One, she would be gone over her birthday and two, Derrik would be gone also.

First Day of School

Devin is now a junior in high school. His backpack was FULL and HEAVY. Half of his books were already at school in his locker, because we took them on orientation night. Hope he never needs to bring them all home at once! He is taking AP Physics, AP Calculus, AP History, Spanish V, American Literature and Art.

Fair

We went to the fair one evening after work for supper and to see the animals & crafts.

Derrik's arm is taped up after he & Dwayne made a blood donation to the Red Cross.
