Corbin's Track Meet

We made it to one of Corbin's track meets.  It was fun to watch him run, but we were only able to stay for one race.

Senior Exhibits

This is a sampling of some of the senior exhibits.  Daniel started his race car driving career.  Simone brought thrift store clothing and updated the items into something more currently fashionable.

Devin created awareness of the new and upcoming eating disorder, orthorexia, that he has been battling.
I didn't get to hear Matt's presentation but it had something to do with boarding sports.
Emily designed and built a concession stand for the sports field.

Dwayne's Surgery

Dwayne had go to work wearing his "yarmulke", at least that is what it looked like to me.  He had a skin cancer removed and had to wear the bandaging for 24 hours.  Below are pictures of his head.  It's kind of hard to see just how long the scar is, but the cut went pretty much all the way across the top of his head.

Easter

Darrell & Kay had us all over for Easter dinner and the kids did their traditional egg hunt afterwards even though they're all teenagers now.

Dozer liked finding eggs and crunching them open to see what was inside as much as the kids did.

Aunt Linda

It was a big treat to have Aunt Linda with us for Easter weekend and Special meeting.  It had been almost 15 years since her last visit to Virginia, so it was high time.

Trout Fishing

Dwayne & Devin sneak off to the trout pond whenever they get a chance between January and April. Devin caught this nice one mid-March.

Winter Break

We did a lot of fun things over winter break. We spent most of the time in the Gatlinburg area of Tennessee. The favorite activity for the three of us was the ziplining through the trees. Farley & Margaret Ann were along on the vacation, but they opted to do something else that day.

We raced go-karts on three different tracks and we each won one race.

Our cabin was VERY awesome and we got a good deal on it through Groupon.

We spent one day & night in Asheville, NC on our return so we could tour the Biltmore Estate.

There is a beautiful drive in the Smoky Mountains called Cades Cove Loop. After that drive, we stopped at a picnic area to eat our lunch by this creek.

Quite the house...would love to see the gardens again when in full bloom rather than pre-bloom, but it was all still lovely.
