Devin had to go to school early prior to graduation for a class photo.
It was nice that he was on the front row where we could see him well, but I'm sure he wished he was hiding in the back or middle somewhere.
Devin's guests were the three of us, Grandpa & Grandma Holladay, Darrell, Kay, Brandy, Corbin, Ted, Susan & Lyle Holladay.
Derrik was proud of Devin's accomplishments, too.
We had a little photo shoot in the backyard after the ceremony and prior to the party.
This was Devin's Chemistry teacher and Cross Country Coach his Junior Year. He is now in medical school, so no longer teaching at FA.

Convocation
Devin received many awards at Convocation - the Science Department Award, the Faculty Prize and was co-Valedictorian. We are very proud of him!
Mrs. Wilson was Devin's math teacher for several years. She was in a stew about whether to give the Math Department Award to Jonathan or Devin. She wanted to give it to both, but she wasn't allowed. When she found out Devin was getting the Science Award, she opted to give Jonathan the Math Award.

Memorial Weekend
We took Farley's boat to Lake Anna on Saturday. We met up with the Hockaday and Stark families.
Rocky LOVES going out in the boat. Can you tell that he is happy?
The luminaria at the Fredericksburg National Cemetery is very impressive. There are 20,000 graves, 20,000 flags and 40,000 bags with candles.
We had a cookout at Farley & Margaret Ann's house on Monday night. He cooked burgers and we brought homemade ice cream to churn.
There were a couple of fierce rounds of bocce after supper. Interestingly enough, the team with all the women plus Darrell beat the team with all guys...twice. ;)

Devin's 18th Birthday
After Bible study, the night before Devin's birthday, we had everyone stay for ice cream cake.
Sunday afternoon, three days after Devin's birthday, we finally got to celebrate his special day.
It's hard to see, but Devin is sporting his new pair of Vibram Five Finger shoes.
That is not pink frosting on his cake, but raspberry sorbet, which is the top layer of his three layer cake.
Brandy was outnumbered, as usual.

Our 24th Anniversary
The grounds of the resort where we stayed near Richmond were quite lovely. We took a long walk when we first arrived. We saw this cute little rabbit, a chipmunk, a hawk and a bunch of squirrels.
We spent the following day at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. It was interesting and entertaining.
