Trout Fishing

Dwayne & Devin sneak off to the trout pond whenever they get a chance between January and April. Devin caught this nice one mid-March.

Winter Break

We did a lot of fun things over winter break. We spent most of the time in the Gatlinburg area of Tennessee. The favorite activity for the three of us was the ziplining through the trees. Farley & Margaret Ann were along on the vacation, but they opted to do something else that day.

We raced go-karts on three different tracks and we each won one race.

Our cabin was VERY awesome and we got a good deal on it through Groupon.

We spent one day & night in Asheville, NC on our return so we could tour the Biltmore Estate.

There is a beautiful drive in the Smoky Mountains called Cades Cove Loop. After that drive, we stopped at a picnic area to eat our lunch by this creek.

Quite the house...would love to see the gardens again when in full bloom rather than pre-bloom, but it was all still lovely.

Dwayne's 45th Birthday

Dwayne got an airsoft gun so he could do battle with the boys.


For his dinner, we had pork barbecue sandwiches, coleslaw, green beans and bread pudding with bourbon sauce.

Dwayne and the boys headed out for a nighttime airsoft battle after the gifts were opened.

Darrell's 43rd Birthday

We had pizza, salad & trifle for Darrell's birthday.

Valentine's Day

Cash & chocolate are pretty good Valentine gifts!



We went out for dinner at a local Italian place called Vita Felice. The owner gave all of the ladies a rose that night.

Farley's 71st Birthday

Grandpa & Brandy shared a strawberry cheesecake ice cream cake.

Brandy's 16th Birthday

Darrell & Kay threw a surprise 16th birthday party for Brandy at a community center. Everyone brought her gifts of 16 items (ie. 16 lollipops, 16 chapsticks, 16 dollar bills...etc.)
