East Coast Trip

On Sand Point Beach in Connecticut you can walk out to the island when the tide is out. Derrik learned that you should not do it barefoot as the bar is pretty much made of sharp shells.

We had to check out the 24 hour L.L. Bean while in Portland, ME. We bought some blueberry truffles for a treat.

We went sea kayaking on a very wet and rather cold day. It was still a fun adventure. The three on the left are Derrik, Dwayne and Devin. Our guide has on the dark hat. The other two were ladies that made up the rest of our group.

Eating lobster at Thurston's in an out of the way area of Bar Harbor, ME. It was awesome! The blueberry spice cake was great too. The sun actually came out as we were finishing and we had beautiful views of the boats on the water.

We spent our last day of vacation in Gettysburg, PA with Derrik's girlfriend and family.

Chef Devin

Devin gets creative in the kitchen almost every day, but I often forget to take a picture of his culinary delights. This is what he made Dwayne & I for an anniversary gift. They were the best chocolate covered strawberries ever!!

When Erika came to visit from Tennesse, Devin made a dinner of pork chops with pineapple fried rice. We ate it all!

I often come home from my workout to find dinner ready out on the patio.

Grandpa Leonard & Grandma Joyce bought Devin this great apron.

I have to admit that I know nothing about firing up the grill and am actually a bit intimidated since my husband has lost facial hair on at least one occasion from it. Devin, however, cooks on it most nights.

Baby Shower

My co-worker's baby shower was at my house. Ayree is due with her second child at the end of July. Her first son is eleven, so she didn't have many "baby" things left at her house.

The party guests--it was a fun group of family, friends and co-workers.

Pool Time

We don't often get up to the community pool, but it's never crowded when we finally do make it.

Rocky & I had to sit outside. He thinks it is a treat to lay in lush grass. Can you tell he's happy?
