New Year's Day - 2012!
What? Sauerkraut? That's what happens when you have Yankees with you on New Year's! (smile) Each area of the country has their own various traditions. In the northeast, sauerkraut is a must on New Year's Day. It was actually a delicious addition to the meal. The southerners require black-eyed peas for good luck. The two sides actually agree that the meat must be pork, so a pork roast it was.
Devin made a triple chocolate peppermint trifle for dessert.
