What? Sauerkraut? That's what happens when you have Yankees with you on New Year's! (smile) Each area of the country has their own various traditions. In the northeast, sauerkraut is a must on New Year's Day. It was actually a delicious addition to the meal. The southerners require black-eyed peas for good luck.
