Bicycle Bungle

Dwayne wiped out at a high rate of speed on his bicycle and took off LOTS of skin. It required a trip to the ER, where he drew a considerable amount of attention in the waiting room with all of the blood running out of him. They cleaned him up, but couldn't stitch him. Serious abrasions feel like burns and he needed the vicodin they prescribed for a couple of days.

Memorial Day

Darrell & Kay hosted a Memorial Day cookout.

Fishing

Devin's got himself a fish and a farmer's tan.

Derrik & Dwayne caught some nice size fish.

Rocky loves being on the boat, but there isn't much shade on it. When he got too hot, I would dunk him in the river to cool him off.

It was a gorgeous day. We were on the Potomac River.

Devin's 15th Birthday

Devin's birthday was also Dwayne's graduation day. Grandpa & Grandma made his birthday supper of fajitas and his triple berry trifle cake, since we were out of town and getting back just in time for supper.

Devin got a new fishing pole & reel.

He also got an airsoft gun and new shoes.

Dwayne's Graduation

We're all so proud of Dwayne. It's hard work earning your master's degree while working full-time. Kurt Hockaday went through the program with Dwayne.

Donnie, Linda & Christy all came in support of Kurt and Derrik, Devin & I came in support of Dwayne.

It was a cool, wet day and the boys didn't bring jackets. That meant mom got to spend money at the bookstore and buy them UVA hoodies.

Mother's Day

Our families took us to Ozeki's Japanese Steakhouse for dinner. Afterwards, we came to our house for rootbeer floats and a photo session.

Margaret Ann's 63rd Birthday

Farley cooked ribeye steaks for Margaret Ann's birthday dinner. He did a marvelous job! He got a key lime cheesecake from Costco for dessert. Mmmm!
