Prom

Gina came down to be Derrik's date to his senior prom. It was the first time to go to prom for both of them. It was held on a dinner cruise boat on the Potomac in DC. They said the food was awesome and they had a lot of fun.

Carla's 44th Birthday

Like it or not, I got a year older. We froze watching the boys' lacrosse game, then came home to tortellini with bolognese sauce and salad followed by strawberry shortcake. Rocky snuggled with me while I opened gifts. This bag contained homemade rhubarb jam, courtesy of Devin. He had made it over spring break while he was home and I was at work, so he succeeded in surprising me.

Three Ring Circus

Our favorite things to watch at the circus were the feats of strength & flexibility. The dirt bikes in the steel mesh globe all racing around is pretty cool, too. Here are some old stand-bys that are fun, too.

Fishing...again

Dwayne & Devin make it a regular event to go fishing for trout at the pond downtown. Once in awhile they also catch a catfish.

College of his choice....

...James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA alongside the Blue Ridge Mountains. Derrik visited with his Dad, but Mom & Devin missed out on the open house. We saw almost a dozen other schools, but not THE one.

Easter

Darrell & Kay hosted Easter dinner. The Morton family joined the Holladay family. The food was delicious and the yard was blooming beautifully.

The kids had fun finding the hundreds of eggs that the dads hid. They really liked the eggs with the dollar bills in them.

The boys had a little game of football going while the final lunch preparations were made.

Margaret Ann & Farley were looking sharp.

Some goofy Holladay kids that were glad for the breeze since it was actually a bit hot outside. Notice that the boys ties are all blowing to the side.
