Winter Break

We went a lot of places over winter break.

We spent one morning at Chocolate World in Hershey with the Yost family. We toured the simulated factory, watched a 3-D movie and participated in a tasting.

We visited Penn State. The campus was actually closed due to the weather, but the Director of Admissions was there and gave the few families who showed up an improvised tour.

The tour of the Harley Davidson factory was fascinating. We got to see the actual parts and bikes being made & assembled.

We went tubing at Massanutten one night. It really wasn't that cold, so the snow was a bit soft.

The boys with their snow board instructor. They had two one hour lessons one day and were doing the expert slopes the next day.

We toured Longwood University. It was a bit damp & dreary day for it.

February Birthdays

Darrell & Dwayne got new "bows" for their birthdays. It looks like the deer will be safe next hunting season. We had dinner out at Bavarian Chef and jello cake back at Darrell & Kay's house.

Frances & Farley will both enter a new decade next year. They celebrated this year with homemade pizza and an ice cream cake.

Brandy had steak dinner for her birthday followed by ice cream cake.

Valentine's Day

Derrik spent Valentine's weekend with his Valentine, so he missed out on our gourmet dinner. We did have chocolates waiting for him when he got home.

Grandpa & Grandma stopped by to make sure the boys got enough chocolate.

Devin with part of his stash.

Eating a delicious dinner of ribeye steak & shrimp.

Our meal--warm french bread with oil & spices, loaded baked potato, ribeye steak, mushrooms & onions, grilled shrimp and a vegetable medley. Dessert was chocolate lava cake with creme anglasie.
