Derrik took a SMART driving course for eight hours one Saturday. They taught him how to shuffle steer, recover from a skid, check tire pressure, tight & sudden maneuvering, getting back on the road if two tires go off road, parallel parking, driving in reverse and many other interesting challenges. He also had to wear fatal vision goggles and drive a golf cart through a course of cones. (He knocked quite a few over.) It teaches many safe driving skills and he enjoyed it. A racing instructor and several cops taught the class.
