Veronica Visits DC

The boys got to meet their new cousin Veronica. She flew in from Seattle and spent ten days with us. Two of the days were spent touring Washington DC. The kids are in front of the tidal basin with the Jefferon Memorial behind them.

We tried to get a White House tour, but this is the best we could do without six months notice.

It was a long walk to the National Cathedral, but it was an impressive building with a lush lawn for our tired feet to relish.
The Washington Monument was the first of many on an evening walking tour we took around the mall.

There were many historic figures at the wax museum, but Veronica was most excited by the Jonas Brothers who are a favorite band of hers. The real live Jonas Brothers were actually inside the building when we arrived getting their pictures taken with their wax figures, as they were a new addition to the museum.
